From our meeting point at Hankyu Omiya station we will take the bus to Takagamine. We follow the Tokaishizen trail to Shodenji Tempel (On the way we have a lunch break, 2 Ham Sandwiches incl.) Shodenjis dry garden incorporates the “Borrowed landscape” of Mount Hie into its design. After the visit there we continue the hike through northern Kyoto and the surrounding mountains towards Ninose. A short train ride brings us back to Kyoto where we have a party at the Doitsulink Restaurant.
Time: April 24, 2011, 10:10 at Hankyu Omiya station, in front of the wicket gates.
