Autum colors from Takao to Arashiyama(as scheduled)

From our meeting point we take the bus to Takao (500 Yen), famous for its fall foliage. In Takao there will be opportunity for a lunch break (pls. bring your own food and drinks) and/or a visit of “Jingonji” Tempel, located in the middle of a hilly scenery in autumn colors.

From there we will hike along the “Kiyotaki River” to Saga, a traditional district in western Kyoto. Our final destination will be Arashiyama, from where you can take a JR or Hankyu train to Kyoto or Osaka. We will cover a distance of about 8 km without severe uphill sections.

Date: 11/23 at 11:20 (Hike will be held as scheduled as rain is expected to fall from evening)

Meeting Point: Busstop (D) of Bus No 8 on Shijo Street about 100 M west from Karasuma Street. Map
